Saint Photios’s Chapel is on the eastern side of the villge and it is syrrounded by houses. The cultural centre of the village is only 200 metres away from the village and the community cemetery is also close. This simple and humble chapel was built around 1950 and was dedicated to Saint Photios.
Its external walls were built with stone. The parvis is paved with slabs and the cell tower is in the middle of the construction. Its interior is plain; its iconostasis is wooden and its icons are well preserved even though they are not very old. There are no murals but there are holders for the psalteries. There is also an amphitheatrically designed room for women, who want to attend Mass.
Services take place at the chapel 6-7 times annually.
Eptagonia honours Saint (Agios) Photios every year on the 3rd of August and a lot of visitors take part in these celebrations.
